Q: What is the Shootsta Fair Use Policy? A: The Shootsta Fair Use Policy outlines the limitations and conditions under which our services are provided to ensure the commercial viability and high-quality standards of our products.

Q: Can the Fair Use Policy change? A: Yes, Shootsta reserves the right to modify the Fair Use Policy at any time without prior notice. Changes may occur due to adjustments in services, features, pricing, or technology.

 

Service Use & Limitations

Q: What does "Amendment" mean? A: An Amendment refers to any work done on a project after the First Cut, resulting in the creation of a new version of the output.

Q: How much storage do I get? A: Unless specified otherwise, all workspaces receive up to 1 terabyte (TB) of storage. Exceeding this limit requires either content removal or additional storage purchase.

Q: What are Credits and how are they used? A: Credits are used to create outputs for specific project types. Some outputs may require more than one credit, with each output type having its own limits.

Q: What is the turnaround time for Shootsta Pro projects? A: Turnaround times vary by output type and may increase with add-on services. Typical maximum times are outlined in the service agreement but are not guaranteed.

 

Project Specifications

Q: What are the limits on project submissions? A: Customers can submit a maximum of five projects within a 24-hour period, whether for a First Cut or Amendment. Draft projects have no limit.

Q: What languages does Shootsta support? A: Shootsta primarily supports English for output creation. Foreign language captions can be translated from English to other languages, but not vice versa.

 

Intellectual Property & Distribution

Q: Who owns the intellectual property of the materials used in projects? A: Clients retain ownership of their provided materials, while Shootsta owns its pre-existing materials. Collaborative works' ownership is determined by a written agreement.

Q: What rights do I have over the final video? A: Upon project completion, Shootsta grants a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute the final video.

 

Music Licensing & Stock Content

Q: Can I use the music outside of the output? A: No, music provided by Shootsta is for use within the completed project only and cannot be used separately or for standalone purposes.

Q: What are the conditions for using stock content? A: Stock content licensed through Shootsta is for digital use within your company only and cannot be used for printing or as part of a trademark.

 

Content & Professional Services

Q: Are there restrictions on the content Shootsta will produce? A: Yes, Shootsta reserves the right to refuse production of content that promotes pornography, violence, discrimination, or any illegal activities.

Q: What professional services does Shootsta offer? A: Shootsta offers consulting and professional services on a best-effort basis, with availability of consultants, producers, and editors not guaranteed.

 

Videographer Network & Shootsta Premier

Q: How does Shootsta handle videographer bookings? A: Bookings are facilitated through a global network of partners and require at least one week's notice. Costs for travel and accommodations may apply.

Q: Are Shootsta Premier projects covered by this policy? A: No, Shootsta Premier projects have their own terms and conditions and are not governed by this Fair Use Policy.
